Shades of Brown πŸ‚

I love days when I can wear a loose waterfall cardigan. It’s Wednesday, school today was good, I had a great workout, and I got taken out for dinner. Winning!

So, I was told I have a “glass-half-full” attitude. I know this to be true. I am just like everyone else and bad things happen to me and things don’t go my way. But, in the grand scheme of things, I am so fortunate in so many ways.

I have:

  1. Friends and family that love and adore me
  2. A career that I love
  3. Two insanely annoying and spoiled, but lovable, cats
  4. A car
  5. A place to live
  6. My health
  7. Music
  8. A great sense of humor, if I may say so
  9. The sun β˜€οΈ, the moon πŸŒ‘, and the stars ⭐️
  10. Food in my fridge, money in my wallet, and lots of love in my heart

I hope you don’t read this and roll your eyes, but rather, think about how you can be inspired and happy about little things in your life.

Much love, babes! ✌🏻

Looks From the First Week

I am still in incredible shock, I feel like someone is going to pinch me! My students this year are angels! I hate to even say it, because I don’t want to jinx it, but OMGee. I’m stunned. I’m so excited about this year. I hope this first week was just the beginning of an awesome year.

All the clothing items featured are from JC Penney, except my BCBG sandals from TJ Maxx, my purse, and jewelry.

First Day Back at School

Today was so good. I feel incredibly happy and overwhelmed, and my heart is so full.

I have to let God guide me and give me strength, because there’s so many others that are counting on me to take care of my students and to do right by them. I’m almost humbled that they trust me enough to put these students in my hands.

It’s truly my honor to teach these kids and hopefully impact their learning goals (and test scores πŸ˜‰) in a positive way.

I’m hoping for a great year!

I Painted My Room!

If y’all remember, my room was red…yuck! I decided enough was enough, I had travelled, socialized, and had loads of fun all summer, so I bit the bullet and spent the last week of summer break to paint. So happy I did!

You can’t tell from the photos probably, but the walls are light-medium grey.

Also, I’m literally loving today’s outfit. It’s so soft and comfortable and I love pink (my earrings) and grey (my sweater) combined together.

Fall Transitional DressΒ

The first photo in this group has a SnapChat filter, which I promise you, I hate, but it was an attempt to cover these bruises on my legs. The last two photos have no filters or retouching. Which is way more my style, but geez, these bruises. I get messages asking me sometimes about my bruises. I promise, y’all, I’m just rough/clumsy. I’m not in any danger or bad situation.

I actually have a bruise and a bump on my forehead right now. My friends phone charger slipped behind my bed and I was like, “Oh, I’ll get it for you!” Boom! Literally threw my head into my headboard. The bruises on my legs all summer where mostly due to swimming pool incidents. A few others were from moving things that are too big for me to move, but I refuse to ask or wait for help.

And more than likely, I need more vitamins or I need a tan. Lol.
