Manic Monday

Yep. It’s Thursday and I’m just posting my Monday look. That’s what kind of crazy week it’s been. I’m trying to squeeze in all my summer outfits before the summer is unofficially over in my book (September 1).

Hem Hack

i learned an awesome alteration hack. No sewing required! So, this dress was too long when I bought it. I took it to be altered and they chopped it too short. I had pinned it myself to save my tailor some time, but there was just a misunderstanding. So it was an odd, midi length. To give it a different look, I tied a knot in the front hem to give it a simple, tulip hem. Easy!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I love this color combo. I found the skirt at a rummage sale for only $1!

Breezy Cotton

Although this dress wrinkles, terribly, it is so light and breezy. It’s extremely humid in south Texas, especially on the coast. So this dress felt like I was wearing nothing! So light and fresh.

Crochet Adds Detail

I love this dress and so do a lot of other people. I constantly am getting compliments. Plus, it’s super comfortable. Great summer dress. Check out the back! 💓

T-Shirt Dresses

I sure do love an easy t-shirt dress. They’re cheap and quick to throw on. Grab one in a Fall color to transition you into the seasonal change. 🍂 Mine is from Forever 21 and is less than $13!

Setting Up My Classroom

This was last Friday night’s look. I had plans to head out for a run around 8pm, but I got antsy and went to my dad’s to get some office supplies for my classroom around 6. Needless to say, I stopped by my classroom after my dad’s and by the time I got home it was 10pm. I never went running. 😕

I love this clutch! It’s a great transitional piece for Fall. Looking forward to using it to add some detail to some plain, solid dresses I have.

This Dress!

I haven’t been posting! Ekk! But I have an excuse (kind of). I started my new teacher orientation this week and it has def been a switch in gears. I went from doing whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, now I’ve gotta do everything after 5 pm like everyone else. But I totally don’t mind! I have goals in mind and I need to do this for myself and my independence. Also, I get to tap into two fashion spectrums in one day. Teacher by day, fashionista by night! Check out this adorable, embroidered dress that I got at TJ Maxx. It was originally $247 and I got it for $29! Amazing, right? TJ Maxx is my fav!
