I’m in Austin and we needed to make a corner store beverage run, so I took the opportunity to snap a quick selfie in the ladies room.

Today was a day of closure for me. Sometimes in life we meet someone at the wrong time, then you reconnect and it’s the wrong time for them or they’ve moved on. When I was younger I used to ask myself, “Why aren’t things going my way?”
Now that I’m older, I say to myself, “Life is full of revelations and reconciliations, everyday, but they’re just not how or when I would have wanted them to happen.”
I think letting go of the idea of it all is the most painful part. But I’ll be OK, sometimes it’s better to not backtrack around corners that have been turned. Sometimes it’s better to turn the page to see what’s next, even though you loved the chapter you just read and you want to read it over and over again.
Maybe now I can give other opportunities a chance. Maybe I can have a clean conscience and all its blisses. Maybe I can let go. Maybe, just maybe, my heart can be forgiving enough to thank them for doing me the favor.
This dress is now available in more colors and I want them all! But, I’m starting to mentally phase out my summer looks and get some ideas for fall. I realize that sounds insane in south Texas, but I still try to dress seasonably.

I forgot to post this yesterday. It was a busy weekend and I was extremely tired from the weekend and then my friend stopped by after work and ended up spending the rest of the evening with me. We stayed up too late and I didn’t make it to the gym today until almost one o’clock!
Just finished another gym session this evening and now I’m really beat.

Summer break is coming to a close and I’m getting nervous! I’m trying to do everything! I have this ongoing list of ‘things to do’ and still tryin to snag a date with ‘cute guy.’

As you probably know, I’m crazy about embroidery. Also, I love incorporating Mexican influences in my fashion when I can. I think in another life, I was Spanish or Mexican. 💁🏻 Anyway, ever since I was little, I’ve loved the colors and the styles. So bright and happy!

I’ve been wearing this top all sorts of ways! I’ll have to post my other looks that don’t make it to the blog or Instagram due to no time, no one around to take my photo, not feeling my hair or makeup that day, or just simply not having time.
I’m really loving San Antonio. A small part of me is thinking about moving here, but I don’t know! Don’t quote me on that, but seriously, I’m toying around with the idea.
